Job summary

Montresor Legal seeks a Practice Manager to support its Private Equity M&A practice. This senior, practice-facing role requires a qualified lawyer who understands how a high-performing transactional team operates and who is interested in broader practice management.

Working with partners and associates, you will handle staffing, workflow, development and performance, while guiding onboarding, training, and senior-level mentoring across the group, contributing to strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with corporate practice exposure, especially M&A or Private Equity.
• Experience supporting a high‑performing transactional team in a law firm or in‑house.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and capacity planning for the Private Equity M&A practice.
• Manage workflow, allocation of matters and associate/ paralegal utilization.
• Lead performance reviews, onboarding, mentoring and training initiatives.
• Support business development activity and practice group strategy.
