Job summary

Clayton Legal is assisting a progressive regional law firm in Farnham to recruit a Senior Private Client Solicitor. You will handle high-quality private client matters for HNW individuals, with autonomy to shape a growing department and develop client relationships.

The role requires strong technical knowledge across wills, trusts, IHT, probate and estate planning, with supervision of junior staff and opportunities for business development. STEP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Technically strong across Private Client
• Confident handling complex matters independently
• Experienced in trusts, IHT, probate and estate planning
• Commercially minded with excellent client care
• Able to supervise junior team members and develop relationships
• STEP qualification or working towards it advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-quality and technically challenging caseload for HNW individuals and families
• Advise on wills, estate planning, trusts, IHT, probate and deputyship matters
• Supervise junior colleagues and mentor other lawyers
• Develop professional referrer relationships and participate in business development
• Collaborate with the firm to support growth of the Private Client department
