Job summary

Proper Recruitment are working with a well-established law firm in Surrey to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor. You will manage a varied caseload, build long-term client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the private client department.

The role offers the chance to supervise junior team members, deliver expert advice on wills, probate, trusts and inheritance tax, and operate with independence while upholding high standards of client care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years PQE within Private Client (ideally).
• Experience managing Private Client matters independently.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts and powers of attorney.
• Provide technical advice on complex private client matters.
• Handle matters independently whilst maintaining high standards of client care.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication.
• Supervise and support trainees, paralegals and junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with SRA principles, risk management, and internal policies.
• Contribute to business development, networking and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively within a supportive team environment.
