Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to take the next step in your career. A Solicitor or Legal Executive with 6+ years' PQE will join our Private Client team and may step into Deputy Head of Department duties.

You will manage a substantive caseload across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning, with support from a dedicated admin team and opportunities for development within a collaborative culture. Hybrid working available and strong progression prospects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years PQE in Wills, Probate & Trusts.
• Holds the STEP qualification.
• Excellent drafting, communication and analytical skills.
• Outstanding client care and client relationships.
• Willingness to mentor colleagues and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of wills, probate, trusts, estate administration and related private client matters.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues when needed.
• Provide leadership in the department when Head of Department is unavailable.
• Deliver high-quality legal advice and client service.
• Coordinate with offices in Hampshire and West Sussex.
