Job summary

Henderson Scott in Leeds is seeking a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its Private Client team on a hybrid basis.

You will advise high-net-worth clients on wills, trusts, estate administration and tax planning, with strong opportunities for progression as the firm grows.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with private client experience; STEP qualification is welcome, and the Leeds market knowledge will support business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with substantial Private Client experience.
• Strong knowledge across wills, trusts, estate administration and tax planning.
• STEP qualified or working towards qualification.
• Proven business development and relationship-building skills.
• Good understanding of the Leeds Private Client market.
• Ambitious and keen to contribute to team growth.

Responsibilities

• Advising on complex wills, lifetime trusts, deeds of variation and powers of attorney
• Managing estate administration matters and succession planning work
• Providing guidance on inheritance tax planning and the taxation of trusts and estates
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
• Supporting the growth and development of the wider private client team
