Job summary

Corpay is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in London to lead cross-functional engineering for the Client Lifecycle domain. You will drive architecture, guide teams, and contribute hands-on code while shaping secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions.

You will collaborate with managers and product owners to align regulatory needs with pragmatic designs, mentoring engineers across multiple teams as part of a senior IC role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in professional software engineering with senior technical leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong AWS, distributed systems, data fluency and cloud-native practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Client Lifecycle systems.
• Define architectural standards and reusable patterns for scalable solutions.
• Lead design of distributed, event-driven, cloud-native architectures.
• Translate regulatory requirements into target architectures and delivery plans.
• Remain hands-on with production-quality code and issue resolution.
• Ensure data pipelines, warehouses and integrations are reliable and governed.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and raise overall engineering quality.
