Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Principal Process Engineer to lead technical direction across UK water and wastewater projects, guiding design teams and ensuring high quality deliverables in complex programmes.

You’ll influence strategy from concept to commissioning, mentor engineers, manage governance, build senior client relationships and contribute to growth of Stantec’s Process Engineering capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in process engineering within water/wastewater/utilities sectors.
• Strong experience in process design, calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Proven leadership across multidisciplinary projects and technical governance.
• Ability to influence senior client stakeholders with credible technical advice.
• Experience contributing to bids, frameworks and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across water and wastewater projects and programmes.
• Act as a technical authority, providing expert advice, challenge and assurance.
• Lead and assure process designs, calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and technical specifications.
• Influence engineering strategy from concept through to commissioning.
• Provide governance, identify risks and ensure best practices and standards.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders as a strategic adviser.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental disciplines.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and new ways of working.
• Mentor and develop senior engineers and future technical leaders.
