Job summary

Arup is seeking a senior/principal mechanical engineer for our northern UK office with experience delivering water utility projects. You will be involved in delivering projects across the water industry, for water utilities and treatment as well as industrial water systems.

You will provide key mechanical input to projects, support less experienced staff, pursue work-winning opportunities and help build networks within the industry while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on UK-wide

Qualifications

• A demonstrable track record of mechanical engineering feasibility and design in the water utilities industry including water or wastewater treatment and transmission systems.
• Knowledge of design tools techniques and methods which may include BIM, Plant 3D or other specialist packages.
• Chartered Engineer status or working toward chartership with a recognized body.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water utility and industrial water system projects at senior level.
• Provide key mechanical input to projects and mentor less experienced staff.
• Support work-winning activities and build networks within the industry.
