Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment is partnering with a leading global engineering organisation to recruit a Senior Principal Software Engineer. You will lead embedded software development for safety-critical systems and shape the software architecture.

Qualifications

Significant commercial experience developing embedded software.
Strong background in real-time embedded systems.
Proven experience defining software architecture and technical strategy.
Experience in safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
Knowledge of DO-178C and software certification lifecycle.
Experience leading and mentoring software teams.

Responsibilities

Lead software architecture and technical direction for complex embedded projects.
Design, develop and maintain real-time embedded software using C/C++.
Develop software for advanced control and actuation systems.
Collaborate with systems, hardware and verification teams for seamless integration.
Ensure compliance with safety standards (DO-178C) and lifecycle processes.
Lead verification, validation and integration activities and promote best practices.
