Job summary

Eaton is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead embedded software development for safety-critical aerospace-related systems. You will derive requirements, design software architectures, and drive verification across multiple platforms from microcontrollers to multi-processor targets.

Ideal candidates have strong C/C++ skills, safety-standard exposure (DO-178C DAL B/A), and hands-on experience with RTOS, HIL testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded real-time safety-critical systems.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded targets.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as DO-178C.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and DO-254/DO-248 related contexts.
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and containerised development.

• Code to internal standards and maintain high-quality solutions.
