About the Role

The Senior Principal Cost Controls Specialist solves complex problems impacting project performance. They proactively identify and resolve issues, offering expertise in Cost Management. This client-facing role requires regular travel to the Milan office and involves developing creative solutions to costing challenges.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project contracts and assist the Project Director
• Contribute to the Project Execution Plan
• Coordinate financial, contractual, and administrative issues with Project Accounting
• Ensure proper project setup
• Support invoice compilation and review
• Monitor project costs and revenues; prepare reports
• Negotiate costs and revenues with clients and subcontractors
• Maintain Project Controls systems
• Support claims development and back charges
• Develop the monthly project EAC
• Assist in preparing financial and contractual correspondence
• Maintain accurate records of financial and contractual matters
• Monitor key project dates
• Prepare contract supplements
• Attend meetings on cost, progress, technical, and contractual matters
• Lead Change Management processes
• Manage Project Risk and Opportunity Management (PROM)
• Prepare project close-out report
• Oversee cost and progress functions
• Support regional and global project controls
• Collaborate to improve schedules, estimates, and strategies
• Support bid efforts
• Adhere to company systems and processes

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 12+ years in project control activities
• Supervisory experience in a matrix environment, preferably in contracting
• Strong background in the oil and gas industry
