Civil – Defence Projects

Are you a skilled Civil Engineer looking to work on high-profile Defence projects? Join our Defence Client’s organisation and play a key role in delivering infrastructure at their operating base.

Your Role:

1. Define project requirements – engage stakeholders and coordinate with third parties
2. Review design documentation – oversee drawings, specifications & risk assessments
3. Optimise project solutions – support optioneering & value engineering for efficiency
4. Ensure compliance – adhere to local standards & industry design codes
5. Supervise technical activities – oversee construction & commissioning on-site
6. Collaborate with teams – drive smooth and efficient project delivery
7. Champion safety & quality – uphold Environment, Health, Safety & Security policies

Qualifications

Essential Experience:

1. Maritime projects – expertise in coastal, naval, or offshore structures
2. Heavy civils & structural projects – constructability & buildability experience
3. Design management – overseeing design partners & ensuring safety assurance
4. Performance specifications – developing requirements for complex projects
5. Quality & nuclear safety – experience in nuclear safety case production
6. Stakeholder engagement – liaising with third parties throughout the project lifecycle

Desirable Experience:

1. Floating structures & vehicle/passenger bridges
2. Environmental & safety case planning
3. Defence & nuclear sector project management
4. Engineering lifecycle management from concept to completion

Qualifications & Training:

1. SC Clearance (or eligibility)
2. Degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
3. Marine & mechanical engineering qualifications desirable
