Our client, a leading Building Control & Fire Safety consultancy, is currently looking to recruit a Senior/Principal Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the South West Patch, which includes Devon, Dorset, and parts of Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting detailed plan reviews to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
• Carrying out inspections on construction sites at various stages of the building process
• Providing technical advice and guidance to clients, architects, and contractors
• Working closely with colleagues to find the best outcome.

Job Requirements:

• A range of experience in Building Control
• Knowledge of current building regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret complex architectural plans and drawings

Our client is open to considering candidates with different levels of experience, with Level 3 being desirable but Class 2 also being considered. The salary for this position is currently up to £75,000, with a car allowance of £4,800 per year and mileage reimbursement of 45p per mile. You will be required to spend 2 days in the office, and the package also includes 31 days of annual holiday, bank holidays, and a pension scheme.
