Job description

As the Senior Pricing Manager at TR, you will lead the strategic development and execution of Thomson Reuters' pricing initiatives for key products within the Legal Gen-AI product portfolio. This role requires a seasoned professional to drive the pricing team, forge relationships with stakeholders, and spearhead price setting for strategic projects. You will craft new pricing models, establish price levels, and structure pricing packages. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Pricing Centre of Excellence (CoE), delivering high-impact, value-based pricing strategies that enhance revenue and margins throughout the customer lifecycle. Collaborating with segments, Product, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and Finance, you will ensure the seamless execution of pricing strategies and define metrics to measure their effectiveness.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and executing effective pricing strategies aligned with Product, Finance, and GTM teams to meet revenue goals.
  2. Conducting pricing analyses to shape strategies for new, renewal, and upsell/cross-sell offerings, focusing on profitability.
  3. Developing models to assess price sensitivity and identify pricing opportunities.
  4. Maintaining price books and discount guidelines to promote standardization.
  5. Implementing system enhancements and automated quoting with Commercial Excellence teams.
  6. Establishing annual price adjustments, governing discounting practices, and creating governance frameworks.
  7. Supporting strategic initiatives like pricing overhauls and new product launches.
  8. Analyzing the impact of pricing decisions and refining metrics for performance tracking.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of B2B pricing experience in technology-driven industries, with a proven track record.
  • Strong passion and expertise in pricing strategies and methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret customer and market insights.
  • Structured thinker capable of simplifying complex scenarios.
  • Proactive with a focus on developing and implementing pricing policies.
  • Proficient in pricing and quoting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Leadership skills to mentor a team of 2 managers and 1 analyst.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Interest in AI technologies and experience using AI tools.
  • Experience leading small teams in technology or related industries.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in Business, Economics, or Finance; professional pricing certification (e.g., CPP).
