Job summary

North Co Recruitment are working with a fast-growing insurtech to appoint a Senior Technical Pricing Analyst into their pricing team. This is a hands-on modelling role in a data-rich environment, where the models you build go straight into live pricing across a large book and you’ll see the commercial impact of your work quickly.

You will shape pricing strategy with a direct line to the people making the big commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in technical pricing within UK general insurance.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R or SQL for data analysis.
• Experience with pricing tools like Earnix, Emblem or Radar.
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine technical pricing models deployed into live rates across a large book.
• Shape pricing strategy with direct impact on commercial decisions.
• Own analysis behind pricing changes and provide evidence-backed recommendations.
• Monitor live pricing performance and act quickly when numbers move.
• Be the go-to technical pricing expert for product, underwriting and commercial teams.
• Introduce new techniques to raise the team’s technical capabilities.
