Job description

Global re/insurance business has an opening for a senior pricing actuary to join its growing team. This is a newly created role whereby you will play a significant role within the team. The role spans both their syndicate and international business across a wide variety of lines, giving you broad exposure to various underwriting teams and reporting ultimately to the CUO. Key responsibilities include:

1. Portfolio Steering: Work with the International team to align on growth areas and portfolio investment, including supporting analyses, remediation work, and investigations.
2. Evaluate large, multi-class deals: Provide insights into deal economics and viability.
3. Monitor key accounts' performance: Participate in monthly and quarterly reviews with MGA partners and other third parties.
4. Foster a culture of continuous improvement: Enhance the maturity of pricing capabilities.
5. Develop processes and tools: Ensure consistency across the team and explore new techniques and technologies to expand technical capabilities.
6. Maintain the Pricing Policy: Ensure it remains fit for purpose and monitor adherence.
7. Conduct peer reviews: Review work of other actuaries and analysts, promoting best practices.
8. Develop performance KPIs and frameworks: Support the monitoring of performance.
9. Support syndicate planning: Collaborate with underwriting and pricing teams to set loss ratios and identify key drivers like loss trends and inflation.
