Join Our Team

We are seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to further grow the actuarial pricing capability as our business expands. The role will encompass both strategic and execution responsibilities and will report to the Head of Business Planning & Pricing, International, with ultimate reporting lines to the Chief Pricing Actuary & Chief Underwriting Officer.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Portfolio Steering: Work with the International SLT to align on growth areas and portfolio investment, including supporting analyses, remediation work, and investigations.
2. Evaluate large, multi-class deals: Provide insights into deal economics and viability.
3. Monitor key accounts' performance: Participate actively in monthly and quarterly reviews with MGA partners and other third parties.
4. Foster a culture of continuous improvement: Enhance the maturity of pricing capabilities.
5. Develop processes and tools: Ensure consistency across the pricing and planning team and expand technical capabilities by exploring new techniques and technologies.
6. Maintain the Pricing Policy: Ensure it remains fit for purpose and monitor adherence.
7. Conduct peer reviews: Review the work of other pricing actuaries and analysts, driving best practices within the team.
8. Develop performance monitoring KPIs and frameworks
9. Support production of Syndicate Plan and Strategy: Collaborate with underwriting teams and other pricing actuaries to set planning loss ratios and establish views on key drivers like loss trend and inflation.
10. Collaborate with various departments: Offer expert insights for the ORSA and Actuarial Function Reports and contribute to other relevant projects.

Technical Skills & Experience

1. FIA or equivalent with 7+ years of post-qualification experience
2. Skilled in applying appropriate pricing techniques across a broad range of classes of business
3. Track record of implementing change and managing process improvements
4. Skilled at managing and analyzing large volumes of data
5. Curious and open-minded with a strong desire to continuously improve
6. Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
7. Effective communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders
8. Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
