Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Precast Technical Solutions team at the Explore Manufacturing Design Centre. You will lead structural input for DfMA projects, and collaborate with production teams to optimize precast components and lifting strategies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in reinforced concrete design.
Engineering degree and Chartered Structural Engineer status or in progress within 24 months.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural design engineering.
Passion for leading structural design innovation and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Design and review precast structural elements for manufacture, transport, handling and installation.
Lead structural input on tenders and PCSA engagements for DfMA projects.
Collaborate with production teams on temporary works and lifting designs.
Develop DfMA-based alternative designs to improve pricing and reduce risk.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and translate projects into precast components.
