Job summary

SHI UK is seeking a Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives and shape customer opportunities across networking, security, data centre, cloud and AI. You will design outcome-led solutions and support the full pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery to proposal and validation.

The role requires deep technical knowledge across data centre, cloud, network, security and services domains, with strong client-facing communication. UK-based, with opportunities for travel as needed.

Qualifications

Experience supporting pre-sales activities and customer-facing engagements.
Ability to design and position multi-domain solutions aligned to customer business outcomes.
Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working on complex sales opportunities or bid cycles.
Understanding of hybrid cloud, security frameworks, and network architectures.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and progress customer opportunities across new and existing accounts.
Engage customers to understand business drivers, technical challenges, and transformation priorities across networking, cybersecurity, cloud, data centre, and AI.
Design and articulate integrated, outcome-led solutions spanning multiple technology domains.
Support the full pre-sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, proposals, presentations, and validation.
Act as a technical advisor, aligning solutions to customer needs, risk, and budget.
Collaborate with services, delivery and partners to ensure feasible, scalable solutions.
