Job summary

TPF Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Practice Accountant to join a friendly independent accountancy practice based in Gillingham. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and related personal and corporate tax work, while supporting clients and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or part qualified, or qualified by experience.
• At least seven years in an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing statutory accounts.
• Knowledge of personal and corporate tax implications.
• Sound knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations.
• Experience using accountancy software.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Job description

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Practice Accountant to join a friendly and relaxed independent accountancy practice based in Gillingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant to manage a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, SMEs and medium sized limited companies.

The position will primarily focus on preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, alongside management accounts and the associated personal and corporate tax work. You will also work closely with clients, support junior members of the team and assist the directors with technical queries and ad hoc assignments.

The firm offers a welcoming, down to earth working environment and can provide plenty of autonomy for an experienced accountant who is comfortable managing their own workload and client relationships.

• Preparing or reviewing the personal and corporate tax work arising from the accounts

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA part qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience

• Experience using accountancy software

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Previous audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential
