Join to apply for the Senior Practitioner Psychologist role at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists (Clinical/Forensic/Counselling) to join our psychology teams within Working Age Adult services.

The role covers two inpatient units: Oaklands acute inpatient ward and Connolly House inpatient rehabilitation service.

Applications are welcome from qualified candidates for either:

1. a full-time position covering both units, or
2. two part-time positions, each covering one unit.

The successful applicant(s) will have opportunities for training in areas such as family interventions in psychosis, CBT for psychosis ('Feeling Safe', 'Slow-Mo').

About the Units

• Oaklands Ward: a 16-bed acute inpatient psychiatric unit serving working age adults with acute mental health issues.
• Connolly House: a 12-bed inpatient psychiatric rehabilitation unit providing holistic, recovery-focused care, with close links to other inpatient rehabilitation units and the Rehabilitation hub.

Both units are located in Chichester, within walking distance of each other, and have well-established multidisciplinary teams.

Role Responsibilities

• Work closely with the MDT at both units to promote and embed a trauma-informed, therapeutic culture with collaborative service user engagement.
• Collaborate with the 8b Principal Psychologist to lead the implementation of evidence-based interventions.
• Provide individual and group evidence-based interventions for individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
• Lead team formulation processes, integral to MDT working and care planning.
