Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy in Birmingham seeks a Senior Practitioner within the Family Help service in Northfield to lead and support a social work team. You will oversee case management, drive safeguarding practice, and ensure high-quality services for children and families in the community.

You will bring a recognized social work qualification, current Social Work England registration, and substantial experience in child protection and family support, along with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

  • Recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in child protection and family support services.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to inspire a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and mentoring a team of social workers, providing guidance and support in case management.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and national policies and procedures, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job description

Join our dedicated team in Birmingham as a Senior Practitioner within the Family Help service in Northfield. We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to provide leadership and support to our social work team. As a Senior Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
