Essex County Council seeks a Senior Practitioner to lead the Young People with Disabilities Mid team, Chelmsford, handling complex cases with a relationship‑based approach. You will mentor staff, oversee duty, and contribute to service development while maintaining high professional standards.

You will work across statutory frameworks, support families toward adulthood, chair meetings, and collaborate with partners to plan interventions, ensuring safety and positive outcomes.

Qualificações

• Degree in social work and SW England registration required.
• Continuing professional development with evidence.
• IT/Word processing skills essential for daily practice.
• Experience with Child Protection work and section 47 investigations.
• Recent practice at experienced social worker level in Children Services.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor junior staff; oversee Duty and reviews.
• Manage complex caseloads for children and young people with disabilities.
• Provide integrated services and support transitions to adulthood.
• Chair meetings, supervise team members, deputise as needed.
• Develop service improvements and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Build multi‑agency partnerships and advocate for service users.
