Job summary

Kent County Council invites applications for a Senior Practitioner to join the Sensory Children's Team, covering the whole County. The team includes Social Workers, Social Work Assistants and Occupational Therapists, with a focus on Hearing and/or Visual Impairment within children's services.

You will set performance expectations, supervise and mentor staff, support the Team Manager, chair meetings, and deliver reflective practice sessions.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England and hold a Social Work degree.
• Significant experience with Child protection and Children in Need.
• Experience in services for children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise social workers and social work assistants and mentor staff.
• Lead reflective practice sessions for the team.
• Chair team meetings and provide cover for the Team Manager.
• Collaborate with families and other agencies to safeguard disabled children.
