Join us in the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne for an exciting opportunity as a Senior Practitioner (Social Work) within the Children in Care team. This full-time locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £31, with an initial contract of 3 months. What you will do:

  • Conduct assessments and develop comprehensive care plans for children in care, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to social work teams, using your extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, parents, and caregivers to ensure stable and nurturing environments for children.
  • Keep detailed, accurate records and reports to monitor progress and inform future care decisions.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, helping them to grow in their roles and improve outcomes for children.

Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant social work qualification and registration.
- Proven experience in a similar role within children’s services.
