Job summary

Chase and Holland is recruiting for a Practice Manager in Scunthorpe. You will take ownership of a varied SME client portfolio, oversee accounts and tax work, and mentor colleagues while working closely with the Director to drive growth in a well-regarded independent practice.

The role offers a supportive environment, potential to shape the future direction of the practice, and a competitive salary up to £50,000 plus bonus prospects.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a varied portfolio of SME clients.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and management accounts.
• Experience with personal and business taxation.
• Ability to review work, support colleagues and lead the wider team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial and tax matters clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients and build trusted relationships with business owners.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations.
• Meet clients to discuss year-end results, tax liabilities and future planning opportunities.
• Identify tax efficiencies and advise on business and company structures.
• Support, mentor and develop team members and oversee workloads in the Director's absence.
• Advise clients on cloud accounting and digital tax initiatives.
