Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Health care support worker (Practice Education Support) to assist staff in nursing skills for frail elderly patients and to support their probationary development and Care Certificate completion. The role spans Capener, Kenn, Bovey and Ashburn wards.

You will work alongside the Registered Nurse and Practice Educator, with a focus on developing frontline staff and ensuring high standards of care within the Health care

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare for Older People.
• Ability to teach staff in nursing skills for the patient group.
• Role focuses on probationary support and helping staff complete their Care certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support staff during probation and assist with Care Certificate development.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurse, Practice Educator and ward CNMs to mentor Health Care Support Workers.
