Job summary

Kellan Group is seeking an experienced Practice Accountant in Altrincham to manage a diverse client portfolio. You will oversee bookkeeping, accounts preparation and tax compliance for entities ranging from sole traders to limited companies.

You will provide guidance on VAT, payroll and financial reporting while maintaining high accuracy and client service. This hands-on role offers ownership and development within a close-knit practice.

Qualifications

• Several years' accountancy practice experience.
• Strong ability to prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Experience taking accounts from bookkeeping to final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and handle accounts and tax work.
• Prepare year-end accounts from trial balance to final accounts.
• Complete year-end adjustments, journals and working papers.
• Manage bookkeeping and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and reconcile ledgers.
• Process payroll and PAYE/NIC submissions.
• Support with self-assessment and corporation tax work.
• Review accounts and respond to client queries.
