Job summary

Fooks & Co in Bargoed is seeking an experienced practice accountant to join our long-established team. The role requires taking ownership of jobs from start to finish, working accurately and independently, and delivering high-quality accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

We welcome professionally qualified, part-qualified, and qualified-by-experience candidates, including students with strong practice exposure. Experience with HMRC liaison and client meetings is valued.

Qualifications

• Candidates may be professionally qualified, part-qualified or qualified-by-experience.
• Students with strong and relevant practice experience are welcome.
• Comfort with taking ownership from start to finish and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Take work from client records through to completion.
• Handle client queries and meetings.
• Liaise with HMRC by telephone, letter and email.
