What we're looking for

We are seeking someone with ambition and drive to progress quickly within a 12-18 month development plan. Starting as a Senior Accountant, you'll be a finalist or newly qualified candidate ready to manage a client portfolio.

As a hands-on individual, you'll be detail-oriented, able to lead by example, and interested in developing your business advisory skills. You should have commercial acumen and a keen interest in the technology industry.

Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Senior Accountant at Accountancy Cloud. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance. Additionally, you will provide advisory services to clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities:

• Managing a client portfolio for a diverse range of tech startups, providing excellent, proactive service from seed to venture-backed companies.
• Manage monthly management accounts, VAT, PAYE, CT600 delivery.
• Provide business advisory support, including actuals vs. forecast and budgeting.
• Supervise junior staff members.
• Manage monthly accounting and month-end close processes.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for filing and returns to Companies House.
• Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
• Execute OKR framework according to your level and development path.

General requirements:

• Finalist or Newly Qualified ACCA/ACA
• 2-3 years of practice experience
• Experience with accounting for OMBs/SMEs essential
• Xero or QuickBooks experience is a plus
