Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Aberdeen is seeking a Senior PR Executive to lead media relations and craft compelling narratives across energy, trade press and regional outlets. You’ll build relationships with journalists, plan campaigns from brief to coverage, and mentor junior team members.

Hybrid working is offered, with salary around £25,000 to £32,500 depending on experience, plus private medical insurance, pension contribution, generous annual leave and a bonus scheme as the company grows.

Qualifications

• A few years of PR agency or in-house communications experience.
• Strong writing skills with ability to switch tone between technical and consumer pieces.
• Confidence pitching to media and handling rejection without losing momentum.
• Good organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple accounts.
• Genuine interest in current affairs and storytelling impact.
• Familiar with media monitoring tools and creating coverage reports.

Responsibilities

• Write and pitch press releases, case studies and thought leadership across print, digital and broadcast media.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and industry contacts across Scotland and beyond.
• Plan and deliver PR campaigns from brief to coverage and provide client updates at each stage.
• Monitor media coverage and produce reporting showing PR spend impact.
• Support junior team members with feedback and day-to-day guidance.
• Manage multiple client accounts with deadlines and prioritise workloads.
