Are you a seasoned, strategic, hands-on and commercially minded PR and Communications professional with impeccable interpersonal skills and professional services sector experience? Are you looking to play a pivotal leading role within a passionate, dynamic team, raising the profile of and supporting the continued growth and culture evolution of a highly reputable business?

Bidwells, a leading and innovative property consultancy, have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior PR & Communications Manager to lead and manage all internal and external communication efforts and strategy, ensuring the development and maintenance of strong relationships with media contacts, agencies, influencers, and key internal and external stakeholders. This includes securing high-value media coverage, enhancing brand visibility, create and deliver high-quality, compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences whilst ensuring a consistent and cohesive tone of voice across all communication channels.

As a central figure within the Group Marketing team, you will act as a strategic relationship manager, you will unify and foster relationships with internal departments and external partners to advance Bidwells’ strategic goals, drive business goals and position the firm as a trusted thought leader within the industry. With a proactive approach and a forward-thinking mindset, you will explore and integrate innovative content creation tools and processes to enhance our brand's presence.

This role will ideally be based in our Cambridge head office, however could also be based from our London or Oxford office with at least one day a week visiting the Cambridge office. We support flexible working.

What you’ll be doing
Lead External PR & Thought Leadership
  • Define and deliver Bidwells Group PR and media relations strategy, ensuring complete alignment with our wider business priorities.
  • Build and manage high‑impact media relationships—leveraging your own network and strengthening our agency partnerships.
  • Proactively secure high‑value national, trade and financial media coverage that elevates our experts and core sectors.
  • Lead press office operations: media enquiries, briefings, interview preparation, press releases, commentary and reputation management.
  • Develop compelling content including thought leadership, speeches, bylines and keynote presentations.
  • Identify and activate media and partnership opportunities that raise visibility and reinforce our market position.
  • Monitor and report on PR performance, continually optimising strategy and delivery.
Drive Internal Communications & Corporate Messaging
  • Lead our internal communications strategy alongside the Communications Manager, ensuring clarity, consistency and cultural alignment.
  • Support senior leaders with speechwriting, presentations and corporate updates.
  • Oversee comms for key internal events, shaping the message and managing production.
  • Maintain presence across our regional offices, helping strengthen firm‑wide engagement and cohesion.
Champion Marketing Communications Excellence
  • Lead the creation of strategic content and campaigns that bring Bidwells’ insights, research and expertise to life.
  • Oversee innovative use of digital channels, including video, audio and email.
  • Guide the development of ABM content, thought leadership, case studies and cross‑channel storytelling.
  • Assist in writing articles, blogs, and commentary on market reports.
  • Conduct interviews and film members of the business for promotional content and internal discussions.
  • Act as brand guardian—ensuring every communication reflects our voice, our values and our standards.
  • Collaborate closely with our Digital team to maximise engagement and extend the reach of our content.
  • Line manage the Communications team, providing mentorship, inspiration and strategic direction.
About you
  • Significant experience of PR, media relations and external and internal communications, including at a managerial level with line/team management experience
  • Preferably experience within a professional services firm or with knowledge of the real estate sector, or similar
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and diplomacy skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders
  • Strategic thinker, proactive
  • Exceptional creative and impactful writing and communication skills
  • Robust understanding of business development
