Job summary

Bidwells is seeking a PR and Communications Executive to join the Marketing and Communications team in the Head Office. You will craft compelling copy, assist with press releases, manage media contacts, and support events and internal communications across the UK.

The role requires excellent writing, strong collaboration with stakeholders, and a proactive approach to news trends and content ideas within a professional services environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in English, journalism, communications or PR preferable.
  • PR experience in-house or agency.
  • Interest in property or professional services helpful.

Bidwells are a leading real estate adviser specialising in the UK’s most pioneering sectors: science & technology, sustainability, and modern living solutions.As the first multi-disciplinary property consultancy in the UK to achieve B Corp certification, we’re dedicated to delivering sustainable and innovative property advice nationwide.

Due to growth, an exciting new role has been created within our Head Office to join our passionate and friendly Marketing and Communications team. We are looking for an enthusiastic PR and Communications Executive who is results-driven and understands the news agenda to support external PR and internal communications for our varied teams across the UK. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who can engage effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels.

What you’ll be doing
  • Writing high quality and engaging copy for both external and internal communication channels.
  • Helping to draft press releases and comments and identifying new ways to support our teams with PR and communications.
  • Building and managing media lists and pitching to journalists across local, national and trade press.
  • Drafting media coverage emails, press releases and briefing documents, alongside managing media monitoring and compiling coverage reports.
  • Supporting events, launches and client meetings.
  • Attending events and journalist meetings with the senior team.
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse of news trends and competitor activity, bringing fresh, out-of-the-box ideas and creative hooks to team brainstorms and circulating them to the wider business.
  • Writing and distributing internal news stories and content including for the intranet, digital signage and staff newsletters.
  • Supporting internal email updates and with running/arranging of internal events.
  • Drafting and supporting with blogs, website articles, case studies and thought leadership content.
  • Collating slide decks, circulate meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Supporting with reporting of communications activities.
  • Monitoring internal communications and provide general ad hoc administrative support for the team.
  • Liaising with and collating information for content from stakeholders across the business.
About you
  • A degree qualification (or equivalent) in English, journalism, communications or PR would be preferable.
  • Some previous PR experience (either in-house and/or agency).
  • An interest in property and the built environment, or experience within a professional services environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience of working with social media tools including Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills.
  • A team player - willing to help on projects outside of their personal remit and contributing ideas and suggestions for the benefit of the team.
  • Able to build relationships at all levels in the company from team administrators to the CEO.
  • An ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to pick up and learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
  • Any experience of using Canva and/or media monitoring services would be an advantage.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Professional attitude and presentation.
