Bidwells in Cambridge seeks a motivated Graduate Surveyor to join the Office & Labs team for September 2027. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio, work with industry-leading experts and start building a surveying career, with APC support and a two-year graduate development program.

You’ll develop technical expertise, build client relationships and contribute to project delivery as you progress toward RICS Chartered status in a supportive, inclusive culture.

We're looking for a motivated, ambitious and commercially mindedGraduate Surveyor to join our growing Office & Labs team in September 2027.

Based at our Head Office inCambridge , you'll gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio while working alongside industry-leading experts and building the foundations of a successful surveying career.

What you’ll be doing

The Office & Labs team provides a comprehensive service in the disposal and acquisition of office/research & development property, to developers, pension funds, financial institutions, tenants and landowners. This includes advising on new development, refurbishment, arrangement of comprehensive marketing campaigns and negotiating the best terms to meet client objectives, whether this is for landlord or tenant. Liaising with other in-house teams allows us to provide a range of services to clients and increase income for the firm. Some key duties of the role may include:

• Supporting the delivery of agency instructions across the Office & Laboratory sector, including acquisitions, lettings and disposals.
• Assisting in advising clients on property purchases, sales and lettings, ensuring opportunities and risks are fully assessed.
• Preparing marketing materials, sales particulars and property information.
• Undertaking property viewings, market research and comparable evidence analysis.
• Supporting development advisory projects, working with clients to maximise the value and performance of their office and laboratory assets.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients whilst supporting wider business development initiatives.
• Developing a strong understanding of the Office & Laboratory market and identifying new opportunities for clients and the business.
• Collaborating with colleagues across Agency, Lease Consultancy, Property Management, Planning, Residential, Built Environment and Rural teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

What you’ll achieve

As a Graduate Surveyor, you'll gain hands-on experience across a broad range of projects while working alongside experienced professionals. You'll develop your technical expertise, build client relationships, contribute to project delivery and work towards achieving RICS Chartered status.

You'll have the opportunity to grow alongside us, and we're committed to supporting your progress every step of the way. We'll provide extensive assistance and tailored support to help you work towards your RICS APC, where our strong first-time pass rate speaks for itself.

You'll also join our two-year graduate development program, designed to enhance your personal effectiveness, commercial and financial acumen and client delivery skills. This program will help you build a robust foundation for a successful career in the property sector, taking you beyond your current technical expertise.

Selection Process & Key Dates

We're committed to providing a fair and engaging recruitment experience. Below is an outline of our selection process and indicative timelines.

• Online Aptitude Test: Following our initial application review, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online aptitude test. Invitations are expected to be issued on or around 6th November.
• Stage 1 Interview (Microsoft Teams): Candidates who successfully complete the aptitude test will be invited to a 15-minute virtual interview with our Early Careers lead. These interviews will take place between 23 rd November and 4 th December.
• Final Interview & Assessment Centre: Successful candidates will then be invited to attend our final interview and assessment centre on Friday 11 th December. This stage provides an opportunity for you to learn more about Bidwells, meet members of the team and demonstrate your skills through a series of activities and interviews.
