Job summary

TXM Recruit seeks a Senior Development Engineer in Milton Keynes to lead validation and development of advanced powertrain systems from concept to delivery. You will drive performance and reliability validation to meet cost and quality targets across projects.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, develop robust test procedures, analyze data, prepare technical reports, mentor junior engineers and promote safe, high-quality engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline with a strong technical background.
• 3+ years' post-graduate experience in a similar engineering role.
• Interest in Powertrain Engineering and solid data handling skills.
• Proven ability to deliver technical engineering projects with clear reporting.
• Knowledge of project delivery within a systems engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements with stakeholders and define validation scope.
• Develop and implement robust test procedures for powertrain systems.
• Conduct performance and reliability validation activities.
• Analyse test data and produce detailed technical reports.
• Present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers on the team.
• Ensure safety and ESMS compliance during testing activities.
• Coordinate supplier delivery of hardware and software components.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing and data analysis.
