Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains in Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead multi‑disciplinary mechanical design for test systems interfacing PU components with rigs and dynos. You will drive performance from concept to verification to meet race requirements.

You’ll coach engineers, develop design tools and models, manage fault resolution, and assess NCRs and concessions. The role offers a competitive salary, private healthcare, pension, on‑site gym and daily food.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary mechanical design projects.
• Strong technical leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience in decision-making under tight timelines with imperfect data.
• Ability to develop robust design tools and test-system models.
• Experience in fault resolution and assessing NCRs/concessions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of systems interfacing PU components with test facilities (rigs/dyno).
• Collaborate with the Test Design Team, Test Operations, and wider business.
• Develop and validate test rigs, measurement methods, and models.
• Advise on manufacturability, assembly, and cost targets.
