Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh seeks a Senior Power Engineer to define and develop PSU power systems for defence projects. You will explore new PSU topologies and energy storage methods while supporting ongoing programmes with a broad understanding of power techniques.

You will review requirements, perform modelling, document designs, and provide domain knowledge to projects and suppliers. This role offers a hybrid working model and BPSS/NSV readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design, manufacture, test and integration of PSUs or power systems.
• Minimum formal engineering qualification as stated (HND or equivalent).
• Knowledge of power electronics topologies and energy storage techniques.

Responsibilities

• PSU topology analysis and system modelling.
• Support power system tests including prototyping, verification and production support.
• Create and review circuit & system simulations and related documentation.
• Collaborate with other CDTs and EMC team on grounding diagrams and EMI plans.
