Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is looking for a Lead Power Engineer to guide PSU design efforts and manage topology workstreams within the PSU CDT. You will coordinate with engineering, projects and management to deliver power solutions across multiple LRIs/SRIs.

The role supports hybrid working in Edinburgh, with a salary band of £59,400 to £84,955, and requires compliance with BPSS/NSV security measures. You will model power systems, review requirements and drive cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Minimum of HND in Engineering or Systems or related technical discipline.
• Experience in the design, manufacture, test, integration of PSUs and/or power systems.
• Knowledge of PSU topologies and power system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial support to Engineering, Project and PSU CDT management teams.
• Support the Power CDT for full range of power system tests including prototyping, design verification and production support.
• Review of System Requirements and partitioning into Power System Requirements; sub-partitioning into SRI Requirements.
• Creation and review of documentation such as outsource procurement specifications, SOW, circuit & system simulations and associated white papers, test reports and test plans.
• Work closely with EMC Team to create earth & grounding diagrams, EMC plans and design stage review material.
• Provide design and domain knowledge support to Projects, CDTs, Suppliers, Workshare Partners and Customers.
• Provide support to other CDT members including schematic capture, component selection and de-rating and simulation of power supply circuitry.
