Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO Safeline X-ray, in collaboration with the University of Sheffield, seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to develop high voltage generators for X-ray inspection systems.

You will design, implement and test digitally controlled power electronic systems, lead the project, and collaborate with teams across Royston and Sheffield to advance product development and commercialization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (PhD desirable) in electronic/electrical/control engineering.
• Experience in designing and testing power electronic systems.
• Analogue/digital control for power electronics.
• PCB design, schematic capture, and circuit simulation.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Ability to plan workload and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop power supply subsystem for an X-ray inspection machine.
• Design, implement and test power electronics and controllers.
• Lead project milestones and document results.
• Collaborate with university and METTLER TOLEDO teams.
• Prepare IP and liaise with commercial partners.
