Raytheon UK seeks a Hardware Design Authority with deep expertise in Power Electronics in Scotland. You will act as the technical focal point for complex electronic systems, guiding architecture, and ensuring design assurance across the lifecycle from concept to manufacture and service.

Relocation assistance is available for the successful applicant. The role requires leading a multi-disciplinary team, delivering compliant, high-quality schematics and PCB designs while solving complex problems

Qualifications

• Compliance to defence engineering standards (DEF-STAN, MIL-STD).
• European Directives (Low Voltage, EMC).
• Design for Manufacture, Assembly and Test.
• Lead a design team and mentor others to improve deliverables.
• Produce detailed analysis, simulation, and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Drive assurance and quality of the product design and artefacts.
• Mentor hardware engineers and future DAs.
• Provide technical leadership within a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Lead power electronic system design from concept to qualification.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality and regulatory standards.
