Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking a Senior Development Designer in Bath to transform point of sale concepts into manufacturable solutions and lead multi-project delivery. You will develop from brief to production with detailed drawings, materials specs and production methods, ensuring accuracy and cost effectiveness.

The role requires at least five years in POS design/manufacturing, strong manufacturing know-how, SolidWorks proficiency and a portfolio of retail design work.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a POS design and manufacturing company working as a Development Designer.
• Ability to ensure designs are fit for purpose, within budget and meet the aesthetic requirements of the design intent and client expectations.
• Strong understanding of current manufacturing techniques in plastics and sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding, joinery, etc.

Responsibilities

• Transform point of sale display and retail concepts into high-quality, manufacturable solutions that drive engagement in retail audiences.
• Develop concepts from initial brief through to final production, creating detailed technical drawings, material specifications and production methods.
• Manage priorities across multiple projects, meet deadlines and ensure documentation translates to manufacturing processes.
• Ensure drawings, tolerances, materials and finishes are accurate and production-ready.
