Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Manager – Portfolio Risk to lead risk management across a diverse portfolio of programmes. The role sits in the PMO and drives a mature risk framework, providing assurance and quantitative insights to inform executive decisions.

The position offers hybrid working from Manchester, Warrington or Derby, with opportunities to apply advanced analytics and AI-enabled risk tools to improve decision support.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant risk experience.
• Experience applying ISO 31000 and major programme governance methodologies.
• Experience delivering risk management on large-scale infrastructure, engineering, nuclear or complex programmes.
• Strong QRA expertise including cost and schedule risk assessment.
• Experience working across project controls disciplines (risk, planning, change).
• Excellent stakeholder management at executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management across a portfolio of complex programmes.
• Develop and lead a team of Risk Managers, Senior Analysts and Risk Champions in a matrix environment.
• Promote consistent application and continuous improvement of the risk management framework.
• Act as subject matter expert for risk management, providing assurance and guidance.
• Support and deputise for Head of Risk as required.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk to escalate principal risks.
• Oversee RMIS administration and effectiveness.
• Deliver portfolio and programme risk reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Lead Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) across cost and schedule risk.
• Support development of enhanced risk analytics and AI-enabled insights.
