Job summary

Ordnance Survey seeks a Senior Consultant in Positioning Navigation and Time (PNT) to lead and deliver PNT innovations, coordinating with government, academia and industry. You will support national and business strategies, and provide operational PNT services with on-call availability.

You will work in a hybrid model from Southampton, holding deep PNT knowledge, GNSS processing skills and the ability to translate strategic aims into practical technical solutions. Security clearances apply.

Qualifications

• Recognised domain expert with master’s level education in PNT (or related field).
• Experience with PNT systems and GNSS signal-processing chains.
• Awareness of GNSS threats and vulnerabilities.
• Record of commissioning small projects and proof-of-concepts.
• Willing to meet Developed Vetting (DV) security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver PNT innovations, projects and operational activities.
• Collaborate with OS, government, academia and industry on strategic plans.
• Provide operational support for PNT commitments and national programs.
• Support OS Positioning and Geodesy teams as needed.
• Be available for 24/7 duty periods as required.
