Job summary

Quast Ltd in Bristol seeks an experienced Electronic Systems & Sensors Engineer to support the PNT Programme and Operation Scorpius. The role focuses on electronic systems engineering, technical requirements, documentation, risk management, and testing of sensors.

You will join the Space Delivery Team delivering PNT projects and advising on best practice across defence while supporting Operation Scorpius activities. SC clearance is required; hybrid work 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• STEM qualification at RQF Level 4 or above.
• Experience delivering electronic systems and sensors or mechatronics outcomes.
• Professional registration with EngTech/RSciTech/MarTech/RITTech/ICTTech or an RQF Level 6+ in STEM.

Responsibilities

• Manage generation of ESS requirements and documentation for subsystems.
• Verify use of technical data to support documentation maturity.
• Identify and escalate risks including safety, environmental and financial risks.
• Design subsystem, component or process meeting time, cost and performance constraints.
• Participate in ESS testing, verification, validation and evaluation processes.
