Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Parenteral Nutrition Transformation Lead Pharmacist to drive a Trustwide PN transformation. You will partner with Nutrition colleagues to implement new PN models across adult, paediatric and neonatal services, improving ordering efficiencies and delivering cost savings.

The role requires a pharmacy degree, GPhC registration, and extensive PN experience, with strong leadership, project management and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy (Masters) or equivalent.
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Post-Graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience of working as a clinical pharmacist at a high level in PN.
• Experience at a strategic level with senior clinicians and managers; integrated directorate teamwork.
• Experience of project management.
• Good information technology skills.
• Experience implementing CIP or other cost reduction programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior pharmacy leadership for the Trustwide PN transformation project.
• Lead PN improvement programme across multiple strategies to reduce waste and costs.
• Collaborate with divisions, CSS Pharmacy, Digital, Finance, Procurement and clinical nutrition teams to govern and deliver change.
• Build operational processes to improve accountability for PN expenditure and invoicing.
• Reduce delays in PN provision and improve ordering discipline.
• Engage PN stakeholders across adult, paediatric and neonatal services.
• Develop standard PN ordering, approval, formulary and monitoring processes.
• Oversee digital improvements for PN ordering, tracking and reporting.
