Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is seeking a Band 8A Lead Nurse for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure complex patients receive appropriate nutrition support across hospital and home settings.

Role involves line management of the enteral and PN nursing team, collaboration with gastroenterology, pharmacy and dietetics, and contribution to national data submissions and service reviews.

Responsibilities

• Leading and line-managing the enteral and PN nursing team.
• Liaising with gastroenterology consultants, pharmacists and dietitians to optimise nutrition care.
• Co-ordinating home care reviews with external providers and national data submissions.
• Conducting daily inpatient PN ward rounds and covering consultant absences.
• Supporting the Nutrition Steering Committee, MUST scoring and fluid balance management.
