Job summary

Capita Public Services - Central Government is seeking a Portfolio/Programme Planner to join the PMO team. You will develop, maintain and assure integrated plans across complex programmes, ensuring governance and robust delivery across the portfolio.

This home-based role requires expert planning skills, strong MS Project knowledge, and the ability to manage large schedules (£5m+ projects). Travel may be required ad hoc.

Qualifications

  • Expert planning and scheduling within complex delivery environments.
  • Ability to manage & challenge schedules for multi-project portfolios.
  • Experience coaching others in planning standards and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and assure integrated plans across complex programmes.
  • Support complex programmes and portfolios in managing multiple levels of plans.
  • Analyse schedules to provide a helicopter view for stakeholders.
  • Quality assure schedules and coach colleagues in best practice.
  • Provide planning insight for executive reporting including milestones and risks.
  • Identify dependencies, milestones, critical paths, resources and risk impacts.
  • Facilitate planning workshops with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support adoption of consistent planning frameworks at divisional level.
