Job summary

Capita Public Services is building a talent pool of seasoned PMO Managers for potential future opportunities. As a PMO Manager, you will establish and lead PMO services across governance, planning, reporting, RAID management and change control to drive delivery excellence.

You will partner with programme leaders to provide insightful challenge, actionable recommendations and robust information to senior stakeholders, enabling informed decisions and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or managing PMO functions within complex projects, programmes or portfolios.
• Strong governance, planning, reporting, risk management and delivery assurance skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience using structured delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve PMO services across complex projects, programmes and portfolios, ensuring strong governance, control and delivery oversight.
• Partner with programme and project leadership teams, providing insight, challenge and recommendations to support effective decision-making.
• Develop and maintain integrated plans, tracking progress, dependencies, milestones and delivery risks across the programme lifecycle.
• Oversee governance, reporting, RAID management and change control, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to stakeholders.
• Drive effective budget, resource and benefits management, helping teams deliver against agreed objectives and priorities.
• Coach and support PMO colleagues while promoting best practice, continuous improvement and high-quality delivery standards.
