JAM Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee sprinkler systems and mechanical pipework on a major construction project. The role is a 6-month contract with potential extensions, offering a circa £50 per hour rate and a 40-hour week.

The successful candidate will coordinate site teams, manage safety compliance, and report progress to stakeholders, ensuring on-time delivery and quality standards throughout the contract lifecycle.

Formación

• Experience as a Project Manager in sprinkler systems, fire protection, mechanical pipework or building services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation projects and construction site operations.
• Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and delivering projects.
• Experience managing programmes, resources and stakeholder expectations.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations on site.
• SMSTS certification is valid.
• Black CSCS Card is valid.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work with site-based engineering, supervision and design teams.

Responsabilidades

• Manage delivery of sprinkler installation and related mechanical pipework activities.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling and coordination of site activities.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, subcontractors, engineering and design teams.
• Monitor progress against programmes, budgets and milestones.
• Coordinate resources, materials and subcontractors for delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks and delays.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Attend project meetings and report progress to stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation including RAMS and progress reports.
• Support resolution of technical and operational issues throughout lifecycle.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
