Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Cardiff, South Wales, to lead sprinkler system and mechanical pipework installations on a major construction project. The role focuses on coordinating site activities, safety compliance and timely delivery against programme milestones.

The ideal candidate has a background in sprinkler/fire protection or building services, with strong coordination and communication skills to work with engineering, design and site teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Project Manager within sprinkler systems, fire protection, mechanical pipework or building services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of sprinkler installation and associated mechanical pipework activities.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling and coordination of site activities.
• Work closely with site supervisors, subcontractors, engineering and design teams.
• Monitor project progress against agreed programmes, budgets and milestones.
• Coordinate resources, materials and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks, technical challenges and potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, project specifications and quality standards.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, including RAMS, progress reports and technical records.
• Support the resolution of technical and operational issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal project teams.
